We have been here before. A few months ago I introduced you to the Sustainable Paddock for the very first time. And that was pretty much it. Since then, I had deserted all of my ideas and left you out with a dead website. That’s in the past, though. I sincerely believe that this time round sustainable dimension of Formula 1 will once and for all find its way to your schedules and social media feeds.
Has anything changed since the first welcome post? Crucially, there is no plan to suddenly drift away in the direction of a brand-new topic. I can assure you that Formula 1 in the context of sustainability is set to be at the forefront of Sustainable Paddock. I am determined more than ever to make it work. Here is why.
When dead silence fell on the website, I kept learning about this unusual niche. I have been reading, listening, but most importantly writing. The final result of my endeavours was a master thesis titled “Formula 1 and map of its technological stakeholders in the context of Corporate Social Responsibility phenomenon during the Liberty Media era (2017-2022)”.
Apart from passing my thesis defence with flying colours it allowed me to gain new valuable perspective on the matter and even bigger passion towards it. Therefore, maybe that’s for the better to hit the ground running now than earlier on. Regardless whether it is or not, I am planning on to take this approach further with me.
I am still not fully confident where it is going to take us, both you and me. At this stage, the search for embracing sustainability in the context of Formula 1 and vice versa is still on. Expect everything, starting with popular science content and finishing off with trivial reels.
For now, I know that transparently guiding you through Formula 1 and its impact on our lives is a dream come true. You are going to be surprised to what extent gas-guzzling sport has been multidisciplinary engaged in sustainability.
Besides, I will make sure you understand why it is the case and why U-turn is no longer an option. And don’t worry, Sustainable Paddock is not a puff piece for Formula 1. Thus, I have no intention to run away from still existing controversies and hardly explicable contradictions.
Keep your fingers crossed to hear from me sooner than in a few months time. I owe it myself, but in particular to every single one of you.
